Transfer Information to Memory Stick

While working in the computer we all feel that we need some more memory for storing our information. After all the memory of the computer is limited and for storing some more, we have to erase some of the information. For doing this, we can take the help of the memory stick. But do we actually know what memory stick actually are? The following article covers a topic that has recently moved to center stage--at least it seems that way. If you've been thinking you need to know more about it, here's your opportunity.

Today, you can find new and exciting ways to store and transfer your information. Before there were tiny memory sticks, most used external zip drives to store and move things around. The memory stick changed all of that, and made things so much easier to use. The design meant that they could be used with all types of devices, and you could put a huge amount of information on something that is not much larger than a postage stamp. One of the most popular sizes of these is the 2gb memory stick, but there are many different sizes from which to choose.

Though there are many sizes large and small, the 2gb memory stick is very common because of the amount it can hold and the price. They are not as expensive as they used to be, as happens with most items of this sort, and they come in at a price that many find affordable. They can hold a very large amount of digital photos, and that is probably one of the most common uses for these 2gb memory sticks. If you don’t use one with your camera, you are going to find your internal memory won’t hold an acceptable amount of pictures, especially if you love taking a lot of them.

See how much you can learn about memory stick when you take a little time to read a well-researched article?  Don't miss out on the rest of this great information.

You may also find a need for the 2gb memory stick, or ones of other various sizes, when you buy a new mobile phone. I just got a new Razor phone, and in order to store photos without filling up my phone memory, I bought a card that goes with my phone. It is smaller than the one that goes in my camera, but it came with adaptors so that I can fit it in anywhere so I can remove the information. While you can’t get the same quality of photo with a phone, you can get larger sizes and save a ton of them at once when you use a memory card.

What is really great about the 2gb memory stick is that when you finally get it full, you can download the information from that card into your computer with ease. You can do this no matter what type of information you have stored on your card. Most newer computers come with inputs just for the memory sticks, and all you have to do is insert the card and download. You can also find these docks when you go to a photo kiosk to download and print digital photos, making it fast and efficient. You don’t have to buy the 2gb memory card size, but having a little extra is always a great idea.

Now might be a good time to write down the main points covered above. The act of putting it down on paper will help you remember what's important about memory stick.

Designing Computer Games

Earlier the graphics were simple, so computer game designs had to be based around elegant programming and interesting and playable concepts for gaming.

At the very beginning of the digital age, computer game designers were programmers. Although computers have come a long way since the beginning of the digital age, I can't help but feel that something has been lost of the artistry that once dominated the field. Things sure have changed since those days. Nowhere is this lost more apparent than in computer game design. The technology was pretty primitive by today's standards, but it was a very fresh and new to the people who are working with it. Computer game design was not a profession at that point, but a hobby.

Don't get me wrong, there are some good things about modern computer game design.  Computer game design has become a full-fledged professional field, with artists, programmers, interface designers, story borders, and all kinds of other specializations to make the most impressive games in history.  Modern computer games even have actors in them for gods sake!  But I can't help thinking that something is been lost.  You see, modern computer game design is based not around having good games, but having impressive graphics and big explosions.  The coders are so distant from the game but it feels like game play suffers.  It is all based on using the most advanced design tools available, so those for programming the game never get to actually interact with it. I can't help but think that this isn't how it should be.

I have talked to a lot of players, as well as programmers.  Many of them appreciate all of the computer game editors out there as well as the sophisticated graphic engines that allow them to play, edit, and create fantastic characters.  But at the same time, almost all of them play some of the classic arcade games of yesterday.  Why is this?   In part, I am sure, it is nostalgia.  Most of us grew up in the early age of computer game design.  We miss the games of our childhood from time to time.  But I do not think that this is all that there is to it.  It seems to me that something is missing from the games of today, and that people notice it.  The escapism is great.  You can believe that you really are there in the action.  But at the same time, wouldn't it be great if computer game design could capture some of the magic of yesterday?

The product development community with smarts

Quirky is a clever new community portal based around the idea of product development. Submit an idea, other members of the community vote on it and the winner product gets made in a factory and everything. The site promises to deliver a new product every few days, which is a pretty ambitious goal. The catch? You’ve got to hand over $99.00 to get your product idea on the board. Everything else is free I particularly like the fact that....Read more

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 3G - Review

The new Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with 3G is, on the face of it, much of a muchness as far as small computers go. It’s pretty hard to find any real differentiation between mini notebooks when all of them use the same processor, same screens and similar storage and memory specs. However the Dell stands out because of a) the name, b) the fact that it’s the one which will probably sell the most via the company’s corporate connections, c) because it has a built-in 3G mobile broadband card and finally d) because you can buy them on mobile phone style pricing (Vodafone UK, Vodafone AU). So I thought it would be interesting to take an in-depth look at one for those of you who may be considering going small-sized with your next computer purchase.

Computerized Physician Order Entry System

The occurence rate of medicine errors can be reduced by implementing a computerized doctor order entry (CPOE) system, as per a review of several studies conducted by scientists at the University of Minnesota.

The review, recently reported in the online journal Health Services Research, analyzed 12 studies conducted between 1990 and 2005 that compared the number of handwritten and computerized medicine errors made by hospital physicians. Medication errors, which include prescribing the wrong drug, ordering an inaccurate dosage, or administering a drug ....Read more

LG breaks the thiness record...

Okay, so it's not quite the thinnest TV ever; that goes to some fancy pants OLED stuff that nobody will be able to afford for about 20 years, but it IS the thinnest LCD TV yet, measuirng just 5.9mm at their thinnest. Woah. That's tiny! I'm sure it'll look good on your wall....but is the extra cash for something just a little bit thinner really worth it....Read more

How to play old games in a new computer

Memories of the games we had played in our younger days are always fresh and vivid in our memories. Even though every thing has since changed since the last time we had played the game but given the option, we would always like to try it out again even if our computer and its systems are new.

Admit it - you still crave a good game of scrolling Super Mario or Dig Dug just like you did "back in the day." We all do because playing them brings back some of the fondest memories.  But it isn't easy to play these games the way we used to. Unless we've kept the systems and cartridges of the past in good working condition, our only trip down this jagged pixel lane is through a little known gem called emulation.

Through emulation, you can play some of your favorite games from the past including games made for Commodore, Atari, and Nintendo. Emulation refers to the ability of a program or device to imitate another program or device and it tricks the software into believing that a device is really some other device. It is also possible for a computer to emulate another type of computer. For example, there are programs that enable an Apple Macintosh to emulate a PC. 1

All that gobbledy gook doesn't really mean too much until you discover that with the right emulator, your computer can play all your old favorite games. And the news gets even better. You can download emulators from the Internet - free. You can download Amiga, Commodore, GameBoy, Playstation 1, and Nintendo emulators plus you can download the games (ROMs) that these machines play.

Our favorite emulator is the ZSNES Emulator. This particular program emulates the old Super Nintendo console and you can learn more about it yourself by visiting http://www.zsnes.com. This program comes with an extensive help file and walks you through the process of setting up a copy on your own PC. At the very least, your system needs a 486/100 processor, 14.5MB of RAM, a VGA card, and a Sound Blaster or 100% compatible sound card. However a system with a fast P200 or higher Pentium processor,  32MB of RAM, VGA card, and Sound Blaster 16 or 100% compatible sound card yields the most realistic results.

But don't think that just because a console is on the computer - you can't enjoy your favorite gaming accessories. The ZSNES Emulator let's users maneuver around games with the keyboard and a joystick. But enough about the emulator - You probably want to know what kind of games you can play, right?

Called ROMs, you can play any game on your PC that you played on the Super Nintendo System including:

* Bomberman 5

* Super Battleship

* Beavis n' Butthead

* Bustamove

* Clue

* Dragonballz

* DreamTV

* Final Fantasy 4

* Frogger

* The Great Waldo Search

* Inspector Gadget

* Jeopardy Deluxee

* John Madden Football

* Mariokart

* Marvel Superheroes

* Megamans Soccer

* Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

* Monopoly

* Mortal Kombat 2

* Pinocchio

* Power Rangers

* Race Driving

* Carmen San Diego

* SimAnt

* SimCity

* SimCity 2000

* Super Mario RPG

* Sonic

* Space Football

* Starfox

* Streetfighter 2

* Super Black Bass

* Super Ninja Boy

* Super Punch-Out!!

* Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

* Themepark

* Troddlers

* Utopia

* Vortex

* Wacky Race

* Wheel of Fortune

* Wings 2

* Wordtris

* World Soccer 94

* Yoshis Island

* Zelda 3

* ... and tons more.

Downloading these games is a simple matter of finding them online and there are plenty of websites that host them. Try http://www.everyvideogame.com for starters.

Be aware that there's an issue with downloading these games and it's a legal one. Basically, you're not allowed to download and play any game that you don't already own on a cartridge. If can abide by this law, you can revisit the past, in the present, on your brand new PC.
