The Internet Marriage Planner

The Net has got proved to comprise a lifesaver of sorts in all arenas of our life. We could deal whole of our monetary resource online, purchase a home online and at present even program our marriage ceremony online. With an internet marriage planner all you require to do comprises filling in a few standard data and you will be advantageously about your path to a well-chosen and successful marriage ceremony day.

The way these programs work is fairly straightforward. Depending on the size and location of your wedding you can use an online wedding planner to help you choose the venue as well as plan the meal. An online wedding planner can even compare the cost of dresses or tuxedo rentals, which helps you save not only valuable time in research but also money as well.

A calendar is essential when it comes to planning an event like a wedding. Of course picking the actual date of the marriage is the first step, but you also need to jot down other notable dates including when to send out the invitations, when to confirm the menu with the caterer and when wedding dress fittings are scheduled for. An online wedding planner can take care of all of this. In fact your online wedding planner may also have a feature that sends you automatic email reminders of notable dates so you don’t forget a thing.

If you are utilizing the help of a family member or perhaps a maid of honor, you can send them the link to your online wedding planner too. They’ll be able to quickly check what needs to be done and add anything you may have overlooked. A wedding can be a stressful time for the bride-to-be so having someone else with access to your online wedding planner looking things over will ensure that the day goes as smoothly as possible.

One feature that some planners have is the ability to keep track of who is and isn’t attending your wedding, along with their contact snail mail or email addresses. This is such a help when it comes time to send out all of those thank you notes after the big day. You simply log into your online wedding planner and you’ll have the guest’s name, their address and what they gave you as a gift. It makes the process of saying thank you so much easier.

Finding one is easy with a simple search. It’s a great idea to begin using one early in the wedding planning process as it’s better to plan earlier rather than later. With the aid of an online wedding planner, the only hitch that day will be the one between you and your fiancĂ©e.

Finding the right Family Sites

Some people are simply disturbed, and they post images and ideas online to share their obvious mental disorders with the world. You can avoid most of these sites, and you know that there are enough family sites out there to keep both you and your children entertained. Not only that, it is rather simple to keep everything but family sites from popping up when anyone in your home gets online. There are a lot of scary places on the Internet, and kids aren’t the only ones who shouldn’t stumble upon some of the darker websites that are out there.

When it comes to family sites that are great for even the smallest children in your home, you need to look for sites that you can look over yourself. Tell your children that not all sites are what they appear to be, and if they aren’t sure, they should ask you if you think the site is safe. Younger children will go along with this for the most part, because they are not quite old enough to rebel against your wishes. When they get a little older, however, they may want to venture off of family sites, and this is where you have to be prepared before they start.

For starters, make sure you have filters set on your search engines to ensure that only family sites pop up when your child searches. Google has settings, but I’m not so sure that my child couldn’t figure out how to change them herself. If you fear this might be the case in your home, you have to go into your computers administrative account, and set parental controls for each of your children’s individual accounts. If you have Windows XP, you know that each person in your home can have their own account, but the parents have the ultimate control over what each user can do and see.

There is also software that parents can buy to ensure that their children are only visiting family sites on the Internet. If you look online, you will find advice about what software works best, and what you can expect it to do, and what it can’t do. As with anything, this software has its limitations. Check with parenting groups for recommendations as well.

No matter how badly you may feel about this, if you suspect your child is visiting sites other than family sites, you should make sure you keep an eye on where they are going. A quick click on the ‘history’ button on your browser will give you the information you need. If your child is clearing the history, then you can be sure there is something going on. Let them know you will be monitoring their activities, and if they are straying from family sites, you will be taking away their Internet privileges.

Designing Computer Games

Earlier the graphics were simple, so computer game designs had to be based around elegant programming and interesting and playable concepts for gaming.

At the very beginning of the digital age, computer game designers were programmers. Although computers have come a long way since the beginning of the digital age, I can’t help but feel that something has been lost of the artistry that once dominated the field. Things sure have changed since those days. Nowhere is this lost more apparent than in computer game design. The technology was pretty primitive by today’s standards, but it was a very fresh and new to the people who are working with it. Computer game design was not a profession at that point, but a hobby.

Don’t get me wrong, there are some good things about modern computer game design.  Computer game design has become a full-fledged professional field, with artists, programmers, interface designers, story borders, and all kinds of other specializations to make the most impressive games in history.  Modern computer games even have actors in them for gods sake!  But I can’t help thinking that something is been lost.  You see, modern computer game design is based not around having good games, but having impressive graphics and big explosions.  The coders are so distant from the game but it feels like game play suffers.  It is all based on using the most advanced design tools available, so those for programming the game never get to actually interact with it. I can’t help but think that this isn’t how it should be.

I have talked to a lot of players, as well as programmers.  Many of them appreciate all of the computer game editors out there as well as the sophisticated graphic engines that allow them to play, edit, and create fantastic characters.  But at the same time, almost all of them play some of the classic arcade games of yesterday.  Why is this?   In part, I am sure, it is nostalgia.  Most of us grew up in the early age of computer game design.  We miss the games of our childhood from time to time.  But I do not think that this is all that there is to it.  It seems to me that something is missing from the games of today, and that people notice it.  The escapism is great.  You can believe that you really are there in the action.  But at the same time, wouldn’t it be great if computer game design could capture some of the magic of yesterday?

How to care for your iPhone Batteries

One of the most frustrating experiences that most cell phones dreads is loosing battery power while talking on the phone. This is an occurrence that may affect nearly all cell phone owners taking them by surprise. The iPhone is a powerful cell phone and it drains out the battery life soon. The battery drains out faster if you are listening to your favorite song, checking the internet, email and sending text messages to several persons at once. Here is where you should learn how to take care of your iPhone batteries.

Even though, on the Apple website, they clearly explain the battery life expectations, they only include the information if you are running one application at a time.  However, if iPhone users are known for anything, it is for their ability to multitask.  Yet, multitasking means a shorter battery life.

However, there are several things that you can do to make your iPhone’s battery life even longer.  Of course, the iPhone isn’t known for draining its battery extremely quick, there is always room for a prolonged battery performance.  If you follow these tips, than you will have an iPhone that lasts you longer than you could even imagine.  Perhaps the best tip that anyone with an iPhone can follow is to simply turn off your Bluetooth if you are not using it.  Very little people understand that when you keep your Bluetooth turned on, when you are not using it, you are draining your battery.

This is because there is a set amount of power that is controlled by the Bluetooth section of your iPhone, and the power is draining because the phone is constantly searching for other Bluetooth devices.  If you do not want to pair with a Bluetooth device, than make sure that your Bluetooth is turned off.

Another tip to making your battery life on your iPhone last longer is to always lock your iPhone when you are done using it.  When you are finished talking on the phone with your best friend, checking your e-mail or sending a text message, make sure that you activate the lock button.  Many people wait for the screen to shut down by itself after they are using it, while this  may seem like a great idea, you are wasting battery life by doing so.  Also, make sure that you set your auto-lock because this is a great way to ensure your phone will lock itself just in case you forget to.  There are many iPhone owners that set their auto lock for five minutes after use.

However, if you multiply this five minutes of power usage by ten times per day, your battery will not last you as long as you might think.  This is why it is always suggested that you set your auto lock for one minute (1) after you have completed using your phone.  This will ensure that the iPhone screen will not stay lit when it is not being used.  If you want to have a hassle-free way to save battery life, than this is the way to do it.

iPhone Accessories for Business Professionals

All business professionals remain busy most of the day coping with a variety of work. In order to work efficiently, most professionals require accessories and other equipments that help in the smooth functioning of work. The cell phone is one of the most important equipment that helps the business professionals in their communication with the business world. One of the best cell phone for such type of communication is the Apple iPhone. This iPhone has a number of facilities which are not available in other cell phones. With the Apple iPhone you will have not only crystal clear voice communication with your associates, but you can also check your email, surf the Internet and text message much faster. You can also take a break from the hectic work schedule and listen to your favorite album while you relax.

However, having an Apple iPhone isn’t enough to make your professional life streamlined and compact.  There are many accessories for the iPhone that have been developed with the business professional in mind.  You will find that with these various accessories, you will be able to become more productive as well as allowing your iPhone to better suit your individual needs.  If you use your iPhone constantly, than you are probably tired of having to hold the device up to your ear, and you do more than likely not want to fill your ear with a headphone or Bluetooth set.  If this is you, than you will want to have an iPhone accessory that not only frees your hands to type on the computer or make notes, but also your ears so you can hear what is going on around you, which is very important when driving in the car.

Perhaps the most unique professional iPhone accessory is the Blueant Supertooth II Speakerphone for the Apple iPhone.  This unique accessory not only has the same benefits of a Bluetooth device, but it also frees your ears and your hands from any responsibility to the iPhone.  This wonderful iPhone accessory provides you with chilling vocal clarity, even though the sound is being produced through a loudspeaker.  It doesn’t matter if you are in your office, at home, driving in the car or sitting in a coffee shop, this Bluetooth speakerphone will give you the freedom that you need to get your work done smoothly.  With this product, you are given fifteen hours of talk time, as well as up to 800 hours of standby time.

One of the coolest features about this Bluetooth speakerphone is the fact that you can attach it to your sun visor within your car, allowing you to drive safely while still holding a crystal clear conversation.  The reason why this accessory is so useful in the car is because unlike normal in-the-ear Bluetooth devices, your hearing is not obstructed in any way.  If you have ever tried to have a conversation while driving with a Bluetooth device in your ear, it is easy for you to become distracted and you are also not able to hear your driving environment.

This poses a driving risk, and is not suggested.  However, with this device you are able to drive in pure safety, without having to worry about becoming distracted.  Also, this device is extremely portable, set up time for car use is literally less than five seconds.  You are able to attach this device through a magnetic clip, thus making the transfer from car to car extremely easy.  With this device you will not have to worry about your words not being heard by the person on the other end of the line, because you are given one of the best noise cancelling microphones in the industry.  The individual you are talking to will be able to hear you, and only you, which is very important when holding critical conference calls.

Dell Inspiron Mini 9 3G - Review

The new Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with 3G is, on the face of it, much of a muchness as far as small computers go. It’s pretty hard to find any real differentiation between mini notebooks when all of them use the same processor, same screens and similar storage and memory specs. However the Dell stands out because of a) the name, b) the fact that it’s the one which will probably sell the most via the company’s corporate connections, c) because it has a built-in 3G mobile broadband card and finally d) because you can buy them on mobile phone style pricing (Vodafone UK, Vodafone AU). So I thought it would be interesting to take an in-depth look at one for those of you who may be considering going small-sized with your next computer purchase.

I’m using Safari 4 Open Beta and I haven’t died yet

Hello, my name is Chris Matier, and I hate Internet Explorer. Well, maybe hate is a strong word, but I definitely don’t like it much. After all, nearly half of my computing time is done on Apple products, and Microsoft gives me no love. I use safari on my Macs, but Idefinitely don’t like Safari in Vista much either. That is until today; right now, I am running the beta release of Safari 4 on both platforms, and so far I love it.

Apple is known for eye-candy, and that is the same for their software; Safari is no exception. The cover flow history interface serves no real purpose other than to look really fancy, and the "top sites" feature is no different than Opera or Chrome’s speed dial except that it is much prettier.

More than 75 percent of the bank Web sites surveyed in a University of Michigan study had at least one design flaw that could make customers vulnerable to cyber thieves after their money or even their identity.

Atul Prakash, a professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and doctoral students Laura Falk and Kevin Borders examined the Web sites of 214 financial institutions in 2006. They will present the findings for the first time at the Symposium on Usable Privacy and Security meeting at Carnegie Mellon University July 25.
